Life is more interesting when unfiltered and uncut. Meet Soraya Yasmin and Lotte Andersen. Coming out of a new class of creative Madrileños, Soraya Yasmin is a modern-day shapeshifter, incorporating elements from her Berber and Muslim background into the workings of a fashion icon for the post-truth era.
Taking cues from feminist authors such as Cindy Sherman, Soraya began using make-up and costume to create various digital avatars from on early age on. She is a multidisciplinary, multi-talented artist, using her body, movement and persona to create alternate realities, questioning everyday beliefs about gender and identity.
Lotte Andersen is an artist, living and working in London. She has exhibited internationally, her most recent installation “How do you Feel about Lying?” featuring ShyGirl at Tate Modern.
She makes installations based works, using video, print, cloth, sound and performance inviting pleasure seekers and human behaviour into the work. Her acclaimed night MAXILLA is the primary research, her work considers the body as a site for joy and resistance. Here she develloped a distinct visual language through making prints and publications, critiquing online culture.
Lotte is wearing the Chloe Gold.
